केंद्रीय संसदीय मामलों तथा रसायन व उर्वरक मंत्री श्री अनंत कुमार ने आज यहां कहा कि विधायी कार्यों के संदर्भ में मानसून सत्र 2018 एक सफल सत्र सिद्ध हुआ है। सभी राजनीतिक दलों ने राष्ट्रीय महत्व के विभिन्न मामलों पर हुई बहस में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई है। केंद्रीय संसदीय मामलों, सांख्यिकी तथा कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन राज्यमंत्री श्री विजय गोयल तथा केंद्रीय संसदीय मामले, जल संसाधन, नदी विकास और गंगा संरक्षण राज्य मंत्री श्री अर्जुन राम मेघवाल भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
मानसून सत्र 18 जुलाई, 2018 को प्रारंभ हुआ तथा 10 अगस्त, 2018 को समाप्त हुआ। लोकसभा में 118 प्रतिशत तथा राज्यसभा में 68 प्रतिशत कामकाज हुआ। सत्र के दौरान श्री श्रीनिवास केसिनेनी द्वारा अविश्वास प्रस्ताव लाया गया। इसके पक्ष में 135 और विपक्ष में 330 वोट पड़े। इस प्रकार यह अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पराजित हुआ।
सत्र के दौरान 22 विधेयक (21 लोकसभा में तथा 01 राज्यसभा में) प्रस्तुत किए गए। सत्र के दौरान लोकसभा द्वारा 21 विधेयक और राज्यसभा द्वारा 14 विधेयक पारित किए गए। सत्र के दौरान दोनों सदनों द्वारा 20 विधेयक पारित किये गए। श्री हरिवंश राज्यसभा के उपसभापति के रूप में निर्वाचित हुए।
